wren had the twins and another neighbor girl over right after school for a little party!

birthday shenanigans...

the birthday chair in class. she got to stand up while the class sang to her. it was hilarious. the teacher got up and asked everyone to get their singing voices ready... so all the kids and the teacher started lalala-ing to get their voices ready. then mrs marchetta asked wren if she thought their voices sounded ready and were on key. then when wren gave the go ahead they all belted out happy birthday with claps and chachachas. so fun!

butterfly brownie pops!butterfly cupcake cake.

the birtday girl requested butterflies in blue and green that would match her dress. she also wanted to bring a treat to class. i made shark cake pops for mr dylans birthday and so she wanted butterfly ones. i made brownies, cut out little butterflies with a little cutter, then dipped them in chocolate, and then outlined them with a blue tinted white chocolate. SO MUCH EASIER than cake pops. and making cupcakes and putting them into a butterfly shape is so easy too!

how did this happen...

i cant believe she is 7! the top one is her coming home from the hospital and the bottom is outside her school today. YIKES! my baby is growing up! happy birthday miss thang!

yes i have two geeky boys. new computer time which means dylan helps set up his first compy!

new raincoats...

and bags and underwear!
recently i have NOT been on top of mom duties:

wrens normal backpacks strap broke so she was using her old messenger bag i made last year. it was too small so she was carrying in her arms almost as much as she had in her bag.
dylan same problem. so momma made a mad dash to the bat cave and came back up hours later with these. they are perfect the kids love them and both their teachers let me know how NEEDED the new bags were. (strike one)

raincoats. wren has been wearing this super cute little whale raincoat that used to be dylans. what size is it? size 4-5. how old is wren... in one week she will be 7! yeah she was crying because she was sweating and couldnt move her arms.
dylan tried on his and there was a huge hole in it where the pocket ripped and it was a 3/4 sleeve jacket. (strike 2) so once again i went to the bat cave and emerged... after two days with finished rain coats. and ... happy kids and TEACHERS once again.

ok now comes the underwear. wren had been complaining of wedgies. unfortunately this is the life of a girl. we always have them... but wren insisted that SHE really HAD them. so i glanced at her pantycakes... size 2/3 and some 4/5. she is almost seven. YIKES!

yeah and mr dylan was having some stomach pain the other night. i noticed that he had a rather crazy waistband indent. this kid has ripped abs and no pudge... he should not be getting waistband indent. so i look at his underwear size... 4/5. the kid is going on 10! so needless to say... target got some traffic from us. i am happy to report that dylan now has size 10/12 and wren has size 7/8. whew.... i am now back to not completely horrible mom. the kids are punishing me as i type by barfing, fevers, coughing while they are on a 12 day break. KARMA!
