and boy is she excited. it doesnt stay in long, but she is super stoked that her hair is finally getting long enough in the back for one. she is usually the one that does her hair...so i dont care if she grows it out now. and she looks so damned cute with a little fat piggy. her hair is soooo THICK.

here are the boys at lowes for the make'n'take. they made treat holders for animals, which we dont have but dylan wanted to do it and it was free. (thanks for the idea heatha). nice goggle eyes mr dylan!

turns 8 today. actually he is 8, he turned 8 at 1:58 am this morning. i cant believe that we have been parents for 8 years. wow how the time has flown. i love this boy. he is so gentle, caring, rowdy, silly, thoughtful, sassy, loving, and my little man.

chocolate rain...

is my dads ol'beater truck that he let us borrow since me julie died. and then someone ran a red light and hit wren and i...so it is now a total loss old beater that is still driveable seeing that they would not pay to fix it. thank the virgin it was steel. he took it like a champ and no damage to the wren or i. hooray for chocolate rain.

banfam xmas party...

we played chopped for my family christmas party this year. here were the secret ingredients and the match-ups:

drinks: dylan vs chuckles vs. wren (orange juice, ice cream, pomegranate pop, fruit)
appetizer: matty vs mumrah (refried beans, pop rocks, cream cheese, & chilicheese fritos)
entre: heefy vs lolo vs kirzzlybear (chicken, shrimp, boursin & jalapeno jelly)
dessert: chibo vs coco (cocoa powder, vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce & pecans)

chopped winners: heefy, chibo, matty, and mr dylan!

drinks: dylan made a delightful vanilla ice cream with orange juice and a touch of pomegranate pop
appetizer: matty made a delish bean dip!
entre: heefy made some very divine chicken with boursin, mesquite seasoning and pepper jelly!
desert: chibo made a death by chocolate and caramel brownie thingy that chuckles nearly died for!

this man makes me crazy and frustrates me beyond belief sometimes... but he is my pops and i love him. and my wee girl loves her chuckles too.

thankful...

so everyone has been talking about this lately and i wanted to make a quick post to say that i am so grateful and thankful for GOOD FRIENDS and FOOD. we are so lucky to have an amazing set of friends here in logan right now. and we were able to spend thanksgiving with a few of them. we love you guys and shall miss you dearly when we head out for internships!

crazy day...

today the student council decided that it should be crazy dress up day at school. wren usually dresses herself like a gypsy anyway... but here are the two stink winks all ready for a super crazy day:they both have different shoes on. dylan has his shirt on backwards as well as his soccer shorts inside out over his pants. wren has like three shirts on all different colors, some jammie pants i made her and she has three peacock piglets. they were so excited!

internship...

well it is done. cory has finished his internship application and we are awaiting the phone calls and letters for interviews. we applied to 15 sites. here are our top three:

wish us luck. they use a matching program and we will find out where we matched in february so we have a long wait ahead of us.

meet snaggles...

i dont know about everyone else... but cory and i are HORRIBLE toothfairies. we have woken our kids up about eveytime that we have done this task and its not like we've only done it once or twice. mr dylan has lost 6 teeth and wren two. so last night when the girl pulled her first tooth... i knew that we had to come up with something to make it easier, especially since i am on crutches (stupid knee). anyhow this is snaggles our tooth holder. he/she hangs on the door until the tooth fairy comes and takes the tooth away and leaves the monies. there is a little pocket on the back of him/her. IT IS PERFECT... no waking of the kids... although cory did shoot up out of bed and tell me that i forgot to do it this morning. i laughed and said yeah i forgot to hobble down the stairs on the crutches and do it. har har. he thought that was funny... i did not.

ruthless toothless...

the girl has lost her first tooth on her own. and you can kinda see the weird spacer contraption on the tooth that the dentist pulled. you can kinda tell that the other front tooth is ready to be pulled as well... it is super weeble wobble.
